The Commonwealth Scholarship Information Session 2025 is set to take place on Friday, October 10th, at 3:00 PM, at The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus, Elmshall. Hosted by the Commonwealth of Dominica Commonwealth Scholars Alumni Association (CDCSAA) the session is geared towards raising awareness, providing application guidance, and highlighting the transformative impact of the Commonwealth Scholarships on Dominican citizens.
The event will also serve as a platform for past scholars to share their personal journeys and for prospective candidates to gain valuable insights into the application process for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Session Objectives:
1. Raise national awareness of the Commonwealth Scholarship opportunities available to Dominican citizens;
2. Provide step-by-step guidance on the application process to prospective scholars;
3. Showcase the personal and national impact of the scholarship through alumni experiences;
4. Promote networking and collaboration among alumni and stakeholders. Target Audience:
• Prospective Scholarship Applicants
• Dominica State College (DSC) and other Tertiary-Level Students
• Secondary School Fifth Formers
Programme Highlights:
The session will be chaired by Ronald Charles, Commonwealth alumnus and member of the CDCSAA Steering Committee. Highlights include remarks by a representative of the Ministry of Education, an overview of the Commonwealth Scholarship program by a representative of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and sharing of experiences of alumnus, including Dr Valda Henry.
Participants will also receive Application Guidance for 2026–2027. The session will wrap up with an interactive Q&A Session.
