American citizens Jonathan Lehrer, owner of Bois Colette in Soufriere, and his said accomplice Robert Snyder made their first appearance before Chief Magistrate Candia Carrette-George in the Roseau Magistrate Court today. It was believed that the remains recovered from a burnt vehicle in Gallion were that of Langlois and Marchand. Lehrer and Snyder were not required to enter a plea this morning as murder is an indictable offence to be tried before the High Court. They were remanded until the start of the Preliminary Inquiry.

Lehrer and Snyder are represented by Lennox Lawrence and Wayne Norde while the Director of Public Prosecutions Sherma Dalrymple had conduct of this matter on behalf of the State.

The accused Lehrer and the deceased had a long dispute concerning a right of access to their property. This dispute has been through the court before Justice Birnie Stephenson where an interim injunction was granted sometime in 2020.

The bodies were discovered in a burnt vehicle on Friday 1st December 2023, after having been reported missing.
