Twenty Nine Young Ladies Graduate St.Martin Secondary School

The St.Martin Secondary School said goodbye to twenty nine young ladies at a graduation ceremony on Wednesday.

Featured speaker and past teacher, Mrs.Jodie Dublin Dangleben reminded the students of the reality of life. She said that sometimes when one is at their highest point, at a flick of a page, his or her entire world can come crashing down. She said that how the students respond to failure, disappointment frustration is key; that they ought to make use of these experiences to write their new story.

According to Dangleben, the next book of the students’ life story will not open on it’s own, neither is it fortune, luck or circumstance that opens the book but the students themselves.

“It’s your determination, your will to continue and persevere through difficult tasks, your will to push past your shyness, your nervousness and your discomfort”, she said.

Class valedictorian, Dana Eugene, expressed that hard work, determination and staying true to one’s faith pays off in the end.

“Stick to it and you will be rewarded. God will make sure of it”, she said.

Eugene expressed thanks to all who supported the students in their journey especially her own parents who provided her with all that she needed.

The graduation ceremony was held under the theme,  ‘Our Book closes, Another Opens; Our Story is Anchored on the Foundation of the Last’.
