Trinidad company wins contract to develop Dominica’s tourism sector

Tourism Intelligence International (TII), led by Trinidad-born international tourism and technology strategist Dr. Auliana Poon, has landed the much-anticipated contract to assist the Commonwealth of Dominica in the formulation of a comprehensive sustainable policy, plan and action programme for tourism development over the next decade.

Tourism Intelligence International is working with Dominica’s Ministry of Tourism and the Discover Dominica Authority to develop the island’s National Tourism Policy and Tourism Master Plan. The plan will be used to guide the Government and tourism industry stakeholders by providing them with an actionable plan, based on a clear roadmap that will focus on a sustainable approach to tourism development that aligns with international best practices. The plan seeks to address multiple fronts including the preservation of Dominica’s environment and the optimisation of the social and economic benefits from tourism to the country.

Specialists in the tourism and leisure sector worldwide and well-experienced in national tourism master planning, TII  will have a multidisciplinary team of 12 consultants with over 200 years’ combined experience working on the ground in Dominica.
