The Sports Division informs of the staging of the Track & Field event which forms part of the Windward Islands Schools Games 2019. The Track & Field which was originally scheduled for Sunday 28th July was called off due to heavy rains as a result of a Tropical wave which passed over Dominica.
The Track & Field will now take place on Thursday August 1, 2019, from 10 am at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau.
Student-Athletes representing Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and host country Dominica will participate in Thursday’s activities. The students are currently on island participating in Basketball (boys & girls), Football (boys), Netball and Volleyball (boys & girls).
Grenada won the Track & Field when the Games were held in St. Lucia last year.
The Windward Islands Schools Games is an annual event which is rotated among the four Windward Islands; Dominica last hosted the games in 2015.
