Marigot, Dominica, May 31, 2023. The Methodist Community in Marigot will celebrate the Zion Methodist Church 145^th anniversary from May 29 to June 4, 2023, under the theme: “Redeeming the times- Looking forward to the Future”.

The highlight of the activities will be an Anniversary service that will present the chronicled history and key achievements of the church from 1877 to present on Sunday June 4^th 2023 at 4:00PM. Other activities include; a family fun day which was held on May 29^th. A musical youth night which will be held on Friday June 2^nd, featuring performances from groups including Young Skilled Musicians (Y.S.M), the reigning Miss Mayfest, Daina Graneau and other community faith based groups.

Chairperson of the Celebration Committee, Anthelia James said: “We are delighted to have reached this milestone, we are proud of our ministry and work in the vineyard of the lord and for the many lives that our work at Zion have been able to touch, we are really happy to be able to celebrate with our members, community and ecumenical relations.”

She stated further, “The past 145 years have been one of struggles and success for us as a people. However,. We’re delighted to have become a part of the local community and have had the pleasure of working with and ministering to many people over the years.”
