The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) proudly celebrates the recent announcement of an additional United Airlines flight to Dominica starting in October 2025, a milestone that marks a significant enhancement to the island’s growing airlift capacity. This development, along with expanded service from American Airlines, underscores Dominica’s rising appeal as a premier Caribbean destination and opens new doors for sustained tourism growth.

United Airlines’ new flight builds on the success of its existing weekly service, offering travelers greater flexibility and more convenient access to Dominica from the Tri State area and other key U.S. markets. This added frequency will make it easier for visitors to plan shorter getaways and for the destination to attract a wider range of travelers, including adventure seekers, leisure tourists, and the diaspora market. The United flights are now bookable for the upcoming winter season.
In addition, the increased flights from American Airlines, further strengthens Dominica’s connectivity to major international hubs. With more seamless travel options, travelers can now reach Dominica with fewer barriers, positioning the island as an even more accessible choice for discerning visitors.
“This is a positive step forward for Dominica’s tourism industry,”said DHTA’s President, Kitwani Ferreria. “Reliable and frequent airlift is key to driving visitor arrivals, supporting our hotel and tourism businesses, and solidifying Dominica’s place on the global tourism map. These additional flights from both United Airlines and American Airlines not only make travel easier but also signal growing confidence in Dominica as a destination of choice.”
The DHTA views this airlift expansion as an opportunity to grow partnerships with international travel advisors, tour operators, and diaspora communities, while enhancing Dominica’s competitiveness in the region. More flights translate to increased visitor spending, more opportunities for local service providers, and overall economic growth that benefits communities across the island.
The association encourages all stakeholders, from hotel operators to tour providers, to capitalize on this momentum by elevating service standards, strengthening marketing efforts, and creating memorable visitor experiences that will keep travelers returning to Dominica.
