The Haitian community in Dominica is still trying to come to terms with the death of one of their own. Meliana Dijon, 31 years of Haiti succumbed to her injuries she sustained during the New Years Eve attack by a man in Roseau.

According to reports two other persons are nursing injuries at the Princess Margaret hospital as a result of the attack. Reports also indicate that one man who is believed to be responsible for the attack was shot by police.
