Children in several areas around Dominica received hugs, toys, and visits from politicians this Christmas. Emonews understands that the leader of the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) and Hon. Prime Minister of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, went on a tour of many communities and constituencies sharing Christmas joys and toys.

The DLP candidates also hosted several Children parties in Laplane, Roseau Valley, Colihaut, Wesley, Thibaud and elsewhere. The opposition United Workers Party (UWP) organized and staged Christmas parties for children in selected communities and constituencies as well.

Parties were held in the Roseau South, Soufriere and Roseau Valley constituencies with plans for St. Joseph and other areas. All in all, it would seem that political love was making rounds this Christmas. Emonews will keep monitoring and reporting. We were able to secure pictures of some of those events.
