SMA Alumni Reunion Presents the Legendary Old Boys’ Concert – “A Celebration of Music, Brotherhood, and Legacy”

The Saint Mary’s Academy Alumni Reunion Celebration proudly announces the highly anticipated SMA Old Boys’ Concert, happening on Friday, October 17th, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. at the St. Gerard’s Hall, Roseau, Dominica.

This unforgettable reunion event will bring the community together for a cultural and musical extravaganza, honoring SMA’s proud legacy while uniting alumni, students, and the wider Dominican public.

The star-studded lineup  will be backed up by an all-star band of SMA alumni led by music maestro Cornell Phillip and Ashtan  “Wakas “ Lugay featuring some of Dominica’s greatest performers:

King Dice – 10-time Calypso Monarch
Shelly Alfred – of Signal Band fame
Chester “Daddy Chess” Letang – Calypso and Soca artist, and lead vocalist of the Swinging Stars
Peter Letang – multi-instrumentalist and leader of Swinging Stars
Daryl Bobb – celebrated performer and producer
Calvin “Senator” Esprit – Calypsonian and Cadence-lypso singer
Kelly “The Ghost” Williams – Calypso icon
Cornell “Fingers” Phillip – bouyon legend and WCK producer
Linford John – legendary vocalist with Bill-O-Men
Alixon Laronde & his band Akayo – delivering high-energy Creole rhythms

Together, these iconic artists will light up the night with Calypso, Soca, Cadence, Bouyon, and timeless classics that reflect SMA’s heritage and Dominica’s vibrant culture.

“This concert is about unity, pride, and giving back,” said Alvin Thomas, Event Chairman. “We want every Dominican to feel the rhythm of our legacy and join us as we celebrate this milestone.”

Tickets for this cultural showcase are available now at Bullseye Pharmacy and Depex – $50 advance (Adults); SMA Campus – $25 (Students, special price); and $60 at the gate.

All proceeds from the show will go toward the repair of the Egbert Germain Wing of the Saint Mary’s Academy, ensuring the school continues to educate and inspire future generations.
