Fresh off of his performance at Miami’s Number One Saturday Night Carnival Music Event for 2021 “One Fete”, alongside Kes The Band, ‘Jerusalema’ Mega Hit Singer Nomcebo and Patrice Roberts (just to name a few), US Virgin Islands Soca Sensation Scrouge releases his contribution to the 2022 Soca Season!
Scrouge (known for tracks like Mass Destruction (2019) and Can’t Stop Weh featuring Wildfire (2020)) launches the track ‘Memories’ – an ode to the Carnivals we have missed due to the pandemic. Capturing the nostalgia of the season – reminiscing on the fetes, the shows, the competitions, the carnival band parades, the music; all the experiences that make the Carnival Vibe truly unforgettable.
Only the Carnival lovers out there can relate! How many of us cannot wait for Carnival to come back?
Until the world re-opens fully to enjoy our Season, we can keep our hope alive with tracks like ‘Memories’!
The song was written by Lashawn ‘Scrouge’ Selwood and produced by Alvin James of Boom Production; with vocal production done by Peter ‘Wildfire’ Noel. It was mixed and mastered by Parry Jack of Jack Spaniard and recorded at SMS Studios and Sisteron Studios in Miami, Florida.
The track stole the #1 spot for two weeks on Vivid Streaming’s Top 20 Countdown (The Virgin Islands’ #1 Radio Station)!
The awesome and captivating music video was Directed and Edited by Vladimentry from Curaçao; and it got to the #1 spot on Tempo Network’s Cross Caribbean Countdown!
‘Memories’ Is Distributed worldwide by Scrouge’s In House Distribution Company “KeepItLoudCrew” Digital Music Distribution.
