The Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) is pleased to announce the official launch of its endorsed candidate for the Babonneau constituency, Mr. John Paul Estephane, scheduled for Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Caribbean Cinemas Parking Lot in Choc, Castries, along the Allan Bousquet Highway.
Over the past three Sundays, thousands of Saint Lucians have turned out in overwhelming numbers to show their confidence and support for the Labour Party’s vision during its series of candidate launches across the island. These events have been marked by large, spirited motorcades and a sense of unity and purpose among citizens.
In preparation for the Babonneau candidate launch, and recognising the logistical challenges associated with large gatherings, the SLP’s organising committee has collaborated closely with key public safety partners, including the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force & Traffic Department, and the Saint Lucia Fire Service.
Following thorough consultation, the Caribbean Cinemas Parking Lot was identified as the most suitable and secure venue to accommodate the expected crowd safely and comfortably. This location provides optimal accessibility, visibility, and infrastructure to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
The Party underscores that the safety and well-being of all supporters, volunteers, service providers, and officials remain its highest priority. Every measure has been taken to facilitate a well-organised, secure, and memorable event.
The Babonneau constituency, renowned for its lush hills, scenic landscapes, and expansive borders with Gros Islet, Castries North, Castries South East, and Dennery North, holds a unique and strategic position on the island. The chosen venue, situated at the constituency’s principal entrance, serves both a practical and symbolic purpose, allowing Babonneau supporters to journey through their communities in motorcades before joining a national show of unity and enthusiasm at Choc.
The SLP advises the general public to anticipate traffic delays on the day of the event and urges patience, cooperation, and the use of alternative routes where possible.
The Saint Lucia Labour Party looks forward to welcoming supporters from every constituency as we move forward together to celebrate the people’s choice for Babonneau, John Paul Estephane.
