The Prime Minister of St Lucia, Allen Chastanet, announced at a live press briefing on Tuesday evening that a 24 hour curfew will be implemented for the entire country beginning at 5 a.m on Wednesday April 1st, 2020 to Tuesday April 7th, 2020.

According to him, “This is to curtail the spread of COVID-19”.

Chastanet stated that the government’s priority is corona, will be corona and will remain corona. He urged citizens to adhere to the curfew and to avoid civil disobedience. He assured citizens that the government is working on an economic stimulus however everyone needs to work together to ensure that St Lucia is Corona free.
