Sagicor Financial Company Ltd. celebrates Top Performers under the theme United in Excellence: The Gold Standard

Top performers across the Sagicor Group shone like gold, when Sagicor Financial Company Ltd. hosted its Group annual awards on Tuesday, May 20, under the theme “United in Excellence: The Gold Standard.” The AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica was transformed, as team members from across the regional and international financial services entity, were toasted for their exceptional performance over the past year. The ceremony recognized excellence in both Sales and Administration, with outstanding Sales Advisors being awarded in multiple categories. Sonika McKie of the Eastern Caribbean and Belize, David Lawrence of Trinidad and Tobago and Sophia Howard, of Barbados, were multiple award winners on the night, shining in the categories of Leading Advisor, Cases and Leading Advisor/Producer, Annualized Premium Income, Net Annualized Premium Income and First Year Commission.

In the Administrative category, Larry Mayers, Manager, Application Architecture of Barbados took home the award for Group Pioneer of the Year while Sagicor Bank dominated the category of Group Contributor of the Year, awarding two winners, Shakera Beckles of Barbados, and Sashakay Clarke of Jamaica. Two winners were also crowned in the category of Sagicorian Employee of the Year. They were Chavelle Wellington-Grindley, Assistant Manager, Group Client Support of Sagicor Group Jamaica and Theresa Emmanuel, Customer Service Representative, St. Lucia. Taking home the award for Sagicorian Manager of the Year, was Anderson Shorey, Manager, Integration Services, Barbados. The winners all received their awards to much pomp, pageantry, and fanfare.

The event was hosted by Jennifer “Jenny Jenny” Small and featured live performances from Jamaica’s best cultural artistes including a live rendition of the Jamaican National Anthem by young Lauren Campbell, a supporting piece by the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica and an energetic performance by Ashe´.

During his welcome remarks, President and CEO of Sagicor Financial Company Ltd., Andre Mousseau thanked nominees for their hard work and dedication.

“The results of your hard work have exceeded expectations. They’ve set a high standard for others to follow. It is in our working together, better as one, with these high bars to emulate and exceed, that we achieve our potential.”
