Roseau – 10th October 2024 – On Monday 4th November 2024 from 11:30AM – 2:30 PM the Dominica Business Forum Inc, supported by the Dominica Olympic Committee, Comesee TV and Jungle Bay Resort and with the approval of Team Thea, will host a Luncheon in Honor of Her Excellancy Mrs. Thea Lafond-Gadson for her achievement in International Sports, namely, becoming Dominica’s first Gold Medalist at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France and only medallist in the Olympics Games 128 years history since 1896.
The DBF Inc. considers the event a fitting tribute to Mrs. Lafond-Gadson by the private sector, civil society organizations and other private citizens who welcome the view that the private sector ought to participate in its own in way in recognizing the efforts and achievements of another phenomenal Dominican.
The event will take place within the confines of one of the island’s most opulent and natural eco-tourism environments, the Jungle Bay Resort.
Tickets are currently available from members of the DBF Inc. Interested individuals and entities may call 767-235-7800 or 767-448-1941 to purchase or place their orders. Contributors from overseas are invited to participate by way of purchasing tickets online through an online portal provided by the ComeSeeTv platform.
The media is hereby invited to participate in the awareness of this noble event, as it provides an opportunity for the expression of National pride, unity and inclusiveness that fosters encouragement for other talented individuals in the various strata of the Dominican society.
The achievement of Her Excellency Mrs. Lafond-Gadson presents another opportunity for small, medium and large size business organizatoins and people of the Commonwealth of Dominica to converge for a common good, less the usual reliance on Public Sector initiatives.
The vision that guides this initiative is to energize the private sector by creating an opportunity for dialogue in this aspect of nation building; recognizing the efforts and achievements of our citizens beginning with Her Excellency Mrs. Thea Lafond-Gadson.
The proceeds of this activity will go towards the efforts of Her Execellency Mrs. Lafond-Gadson to help establish an environment in Dominica that promotes youth activity in the division of sports, which Her Excellency will expound on, during her delivery at the luncheon on November 4th, 2024, at the Jungle Bay Resort.
