Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has said that Dominica’s agenda for Electoral reform is on course. Prominent Caribbean Jurist, Sir Dennis Byron is expected on island this month to begin making preparations to facilitate electoral reform.
The Prime Minister said, “ We have developed draft terms of references for the commissioner who is Sir Dennis Byron. We expect Sir Dennis Byron to make a first visit to Dominica in the month of March on an information gathering exercise and once he comes to Dominica he will be exposed to all the relevant stake holders including the media.
The Prime Minister said that it is in the interest of Government to go to Parliament quickly to pass the necessary legislation.
