He says, “Under the current structure, upward mobility is very limited since the structure only provides for the promotion from the clinical level to the management and administrative level”. Government has proposed opening up new positions within the service.

The Dominica Nurses Association and the Public Service Union has been advocating for a review of the structure of the nursing service for some time now.
