« Nouveaux Regards Film Festival » 2024 in Guadeloupe Join us at the 7th rdition from March 20th to 24th, 2024

The « Nouveaux Regards Film Festival » in Guadeloupe is organized by the ACIA Association (CINEMA D’ICI ET D’AILLEURS association), founded by two Guadeloupeans women in cultural engineering and passionate about cinema, and set up every year by a motivated team sharing the same values.

ACIA is a non-profit association aiming to promote cinema in all its forms through events or actions targeting the general public or industry professionals in cinema. Being a driving force in the territory, assisting in the development of actions, and facilitating the exchange and sharing of skills are the association’s main objectives.

This festival attracts more and more audiences and professionals each year from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Paris, and beyond. The detailed program will be available soon. In waiting for, here is a summary of the main appointments of this 7th edition:

The main appointments include:

1) Competition of films exclusively from the Caribbean

2) The Virtual Reality Room by BNP PARIBAS

3) The unusual session “DARK FANTASY »

4) The unusual session « AFROFUTURISM”

5) The “GREEN GAZE” session in partnership with the TERRA FESTIVAL

6) Good Morning Ciné session

7) The NRFF Kids, Family Cinema Session

8) The NR ACADEMY featuring conferences and masterclasses to support authors, encourage creativity in all its forms, and inspire new innovative projects.

For this year, here are the themes of the NR ACADEMY:

– Workshop « New perspective on the screenplay »

– Film music « Creation workshop » with Irina Prieto Botella

– Masterclass « Convergence of Emerging Technologies: AI, 3D, XR in immersive creation »led by Lucas Sousseing

– Conference « The impact of artificial intelligence on audiovisual content » led by Jeanne Marchalot

– Masterclass « Emerging Technologies and Creativity: a new chapter for Caribbean heritage and art » led by Lucas Sousseing and Manuel Sainsily

– Steadicam Workshop « Stabilization in motion » led by Dan Occo
