The Ministry of Health continues to advise the public that Dominica has no recorded cases of the deadly Coronavirus.

Health Minister Dr. Irving McIntyre said, “We have been carrying out numerous tests for the Coronavirus in Dominica over the past week, all the tests done so far have been negative. This doesn’t mean that we will never get a case of the virus but at present we do not have any positive case of Coronavirus in Dominica”.

The Minister said that random testing is not done as it is not recommended and it is a waste of test kits which are already in short supply. He reminded the public that Dominica is the only country in the OECS with the capacity to test for the Coronavirus.
