Mass Shooting leaves 5 fatally wounded in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

According to Police Commissioner of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), John Colin, the public of St. Vincent and the Grenadines must remain assured that despite the regrettable spate of violence that is currently overshadowing the country, SVG is still a safe place.

Reports indicate that the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police force responded to a mass shooting on Wednesday 19th July, 2023 and the investigations revealed that five males were shot dead. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 8:00pm.

This unfortunate incident occurs just after St. Vincent and the Grenadines reported an incident free carnival last week.

Notably, this mass shooting brings SVG’s murder toll for 2023 to thirty-five (35) so far, twelve (12) of which occurred within the month of July.
