Lifeline Ministries, under its Stand with Survivors initiative, hosted the Survivor Support and Peace Together Graduation Ceremony on Thursday at the Public Service Union building.
The organization received a $27,000 grant from the Maria Holder Memorial Trust. The funds supported the training of survivor supporters and sustained the helpline for three months, ensuring survivors received guidance as they navigated the system.
As part of the ceremony, six women celebrated their personal journeys of healing, making peace with their past, finding joy in the present, and embracing hope for the future. This milestone followed a 12-week course held from March to August, facilitated by Delia Cuffy-Weekes and Renatta Langlais-Freeman. Participants were each awarded certificates in recognition of their commitment.
Delivering an address, Dr. Kyra Paul L-Homme, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, commended the work of Lifeline Ministries and reinforced the organization’s goals of supporting survivors and strengthening community resilience.
One participant of the Peace Together program delivered a heartfelt testimony, sharing the impact of the journey.
Congratulations to all the participants. Lifeline ministries has now partnered with Dominic planned parenthood to set up a food pantry to assist persons across Dominica. They are asking anyone who wants to donate to this pantry to contact the organizations. In addition, they encourage persons to contact hotline if they are experiencing gender-based violence. The help line number is 7673173030

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
