PM Skerrit recently announced that 152 Junior clerks will be appointed and all vacant positions within the Public Service would be filled. The announcement was made at the launching of Chekira Lockhart, the DLP candidate for Roseau South.

However, Letang says that there aren’t 152 junior clerks in the public service needing appointment. Further, the PSU demands to go beyond appointments of Junior clerks and include salary increases and improved working conditions among others.

The DPSU was scheduled to meet yesterday (Thursday 6), to review the ‘go slow’ embarked upon on Friday and Monday last week and decide on the way forward.
