In honour of Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (Lab Week) 2025, La Falaise Medical Laboratory Ltd., a cornerstone of diagnostic excellence for over three decades, proudly celebrated its customers and the broader healthcare community through a week of impactful activities.
Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (Lab Week) is an annual celebration that takes place during the last full week of April to recognize the vital role laboratory professionals play in healthcare. Established in 1975 by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS), Lab Week honours the behind-the-scenes heroes who perform critical diagnostic testing that guides medical decisions and ensures patient safety. Lab week ran from April 20th to 26th this year.
From identifying infections and managing chronic diseases to supporting emergency care and public health, laboratory professionals are the backbone of accurate diagnoses and effective treatment. Lab Week provides an opportunity to show appreciation, raise awareness, and educate the public about the indispensable work of medical laboratory scientists and technicians.
As part of this year’s Lab Week celebrations, La Falaise undertook initiatives aimed at honouring the people and partnerships that fuel its success:
During the donation handover, La Falaise Medical Lab employee, Terryanne Caprice conveyed a heartfelt message to hospital representatives:
“Today, as part of our Lab Week initiatives, we go beyond celebration—we give back. On behalf of the entire team at La Falaise House Medical Laboratory Ltd., we present this donation to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital… This gesture is a symbol of our gratitude for the partnership we’ve shared over the years, and our shared commitment to improving healthcare in our country.”
Now in its 33rd year of service, La Falaise Medical Laboratory continues on its mission to be a leader in accurate, timely, and customer-focused diagnostic care. Lab Week provided an opportunity to both celebrate this legacy and give thanks to the individuals and institutions that make the journey possible.
