The president of Dominica, His Excellency Charles Savarin and Mrs. Savarin visited the ROTARY/VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) Eye care clinic held at the Good Parish Hall on Thursday.
The Savarins were given a tour of the facilities.
Rotarian Luanna Laurent said that the program is well organized and has been executed rather smoothly. She thanks the nurses and other volunteers who showed up to facilitate the smooth running of the event. She said that persons were gathering from three o’clock in the morning in order to get examined early.
The VOSH team from Michigan has been coming to Dominica and giving volunteer services for 26 years now.
