According to Chief Cultural Officer, Raymond Lawrence, there are eight awardees this year. They are Rosette Bertand, Delmans ‘Ras Mo’ Moses, Andrew ‘De Scrunter’ Bazil, Karina Cultural Group, Gilles Carbon Jno.Baptiste, Lucia Lander, Val Cuffy and Joan Frampton.

While there are six Special Recognition Awards. They are Carlyn ‘Carlyn XP’ Xavier Phillip, Shirley Alexander, Earlson Matthew, The Culture Lovers Cultural Group, Shervonne Vigilante and Collete Diane Telemaque.

The Cultural Division will also present two plaques to the best decorated Government offices or business places during the creole season.

This Golden Drum Award is given to both individuals and groups for their contribution to the preservation of Dominica’s cultural heritage.
