Flow Launches Youth-Focused Initiatives Honoring Two Dominican Icons

Flow Dominica is proud to introduce two new initiatives to support the academic, professional,  and athletic growth of Dominican students:

The Thea Lafond Gadson x Flow Sports Scholarship

The Ferdina Frampton x Flow Award and Internship

These programs pay tribute to Olympic gold medalist Thea Lafond Gadson and the late  marketing professional Ferdina Frampton, two Dominican women whose legacies inspire  excellence and service.

“These initiatives are powerful expressions of our promise to keep the ‘riddim flowing’—not just  with our services, but through opportunities that make a difference,” said Sharon Jemmott,  Country Manager at Flow Dominica. “They reflect our commitment to national development and  youth empowerment.”

Thea Lafond Gadson x Flow Sports Scholarship

This scholarship celebrates secondary school student-athletes who excel both in the classroom  and on the field. It includes:

One year of free high-speed Flow broadband

A $1,500 grant for books and supplies

Mentorship with athletic and academic leaders

“This scholarship represents everything I believe in — hard work, education, and community,”  said Thea Lafond Gadson. “I’m honored to help young athletes access the tools they need to  thrive.”

Application Period: August 7–25, 2025

Applicants must submit a 200-word essay, academic and sporting records. Final selection will be  made by a panel from Flow and Thea’s team.

Ferdina Frampton x Flow Award and Internship

This award celebrates the legacy of Ferdina Frampton, a beloved Flow colleague and pioneer  in Dominican media and communications.

Offered to a Dominica State College student studying Marketing, Communications, or a related  field, the award includes:

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
