Dominica’s Biggest Distributor of the Biggest Brands is proud to announce that it is taking a proactive approach to sourcing environmentally friendly products for customers, and will continue to develop on this business area further in the future. This is in partnership with the call by the Government of Dominica to ban the importation of single use plastic and styrofoam products. Whilst the ban takes immediate effect for single use styrofoam products; Fine Foods took immediate action to import eco-friendly products which includes biodegradable bags into our Nature Island.

“Fine Foods Distribution now provide its vendors with biodegradable shopping and garbage bags; with 100% PLA biodegradable material, also available in different sizes and colors. Vendors who normally purchase the shopping and clear plastic bags can now take advantage of our eco-friendly bags”, said Mrs. Nathalie Walsh, Head of Marketing and Distribution of Fine Foods Inc.

Mrs. Walsh continued to say that, all products imported are validated by independently certified laboratories using internationally recognized test method. Our company is also working closely with the Dominica Bureau of Standards to ensure that the products which are imported are certified and meets requirements.
