Fewer Than Twenty Percent of Persons in Public Office Non-compliant with Commission

The Integrity in Public Office Commission is reporting that for last year over 80 percent of persons in public life required to submit a financial declaration have done so.

Public personalities who fall under the responsibility of the commission include members of Parliament, chairpersons of public institutions and managers of statutory boards.

The Commission was set up in 2008 with the responsibility to be a watchdog over the finances of persons in public life.
