Born on March 27, 1999, in Goodwill, Gaël is the first of four children on his mother’s side. His journey is one marked by discipline, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief in purpose.

Education & Foundation

Gaël’s academic path reflects the same excellence seen in his artistry. He attended Roseau SDA Primary School, where he graduated as Student of the Year on scholarship. He went on to Dominica Grammar School, achieving six ones and two twos, which earned him another scholarship to college. He later attended Dominica State College and pursued a Marketing course at the University of the West Indies (UWI).

While in Fourth Form, Gaël faced a life-altering loss with the passing of his father, Corporal Clifton Jno-Baptiste. Despite this heartbreak, he remained focused and determined—channeling pain into purpose.

Interests & Creative Passion

From an early age, Gaël displayed a passion for basketball, songwriting, and acting. These interests would later shape a versatile entertainer—one equally comfortable commanding a stage, writing meaningful lyrics, or delivering powerful performances.

*Calypso Monarch Winner on his first participation, followed by 1st Runner-Up the following year

*Wrote “Speak Life” for Queen Melody, securing her victory in the Junior Monarch Competition 2025

On Saturday night at the Dominica Music Awards, Trilla-G celebrated another major win when “Someone Else” by Little Boy, Quan & Trilla-G was awarded Collaboration of the Year.

Adding to this historic year, Billboard released its Top 10 Caribbean Albums of 2025, and Trilla-G’s debut project “Take Me As I Am: The Album” proudly debuted at #4.
