Eastern Caribbean Automated Clearing House Services Incorporated (ECACHSI) announces the appointment of Mr. Gordon Julien to its Board of Directors, effective October 13, 2023.

Gordon Julien is the General Manager, Corporate Services at Republic Bank (EC) Limited, having previously served the organisation as Country Head, Saint Lucia since November 2019.  Gordon has had a distinguished career with Scotiabank with extensive branch and country management experience.  He started his career at Scotiabank in 2004 as Senior Manager Compliance with responsibility for managing the Bank’s overall Compliance program for nine (9) Scotiabank countries.  He then completed a three-year Management Trainee Programme in Barbados and assumed the role of Country Manager of Antigua for over five years and St. Kitts Nevis for two years prior to joining Republic Bank in Saint Lucia. 

Gordon has a strong regulatory and compliance background having worked at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank as a Bank Examiner for over 7 years prior to joining Scotiabank. 

He holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) in Economics and Accounting and an MSc in Financial Management from the University of London.  He served as  the Corporate Secretary of the Eastern Caribbean Automatic Clearing House Services Incorporated from 2014 to 2023; and served as the Public Relations Officer of the Bankers Association of Saint Lucia.  He is a Rotarian and Past President of the Rotary Club of Saint Lucia (2021-22) and is also a member of the Saint Lucia Golf Association.

ECACHSI warmly welcomes Mr. Julien to the Board of Directors and looks forward to his contribution to the organisation.

About ECACHSI: the ECACHSI was established in 2011 to plan and operate the Eastern Caribbean Automated Clearing House, an electronic network for clearing cheques and other electronic transactions across eight (8) participating countries within the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union.
