Manager of Vee’s Enterprises, Vernesta Newton and her friends have been for three years now donating school supplies to the children of St.Joseph and neighboring communities.

This year 20 students received the donations including Mikel George who famously aided in delivering his mother’s baby last year and whose house recently was engulfed by fire. (Interview with Mikel available on Emonews)

Yesterday, Newton and her friends decided to invite the media to their official ceremony in order to ignite the interest of other Dominicans to do likewise and also to let the world know how grateful they are to their sponsors who have partnered with them for the past five years.

Newton says, ” I learned to give not because I have plenty but because I know what it is like to have none”. Congratulations to Ms. Newton and her team for a job well done.
