Abreu Brings Twenty-Plus Years of Hospitality Experience
to the Island’s Landmark Hotel
Fort Young Hotel & Dive Resort, Dominica’s prized landmark hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of José Abreu as General Manager. He will oversee the complete operation of the property, including the hotel’s final phase of renovations.
“I’m excited to join Fort Young Hotel and lead this landmark resort into its next phase,” said Abreu. “It’s an iconic Caribbean property that has garnered so much respect and appreciation, by both locals and visitors. My passion is to serve, to help people around me to become better human beings and to add value to their lives. I never lose the focus of recognizing the most important resource, which is people.”
A native of Dominican Republic, Abreu launched his hospitality career in 1996 as a cashier, rising through the ranks within accounting and then moving to operations, Resident Manager and, most recently, General Manager of ACOYA Curacao Resort, Villas & Spa. Abreu has been part of the operations and executives team of AAA Four-Diamond and Preferred Hotels-recognized properties.
