Isma Elie of Petite Soufriere and Sarwil Challenger of Castle Bruce have been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for their extensive contribution to the preservation and promotion of Dominica’s culture.
Elie is the Head of the Petite Soufriere Jing Ping Band and an accordionist while Sarwil plays the mouth organ and performs his hilarious ‘Conte’ or short story.
The Young Artist Award went to Dwayne Joseph of Petite Soufriere who was a part of both his Primary and Secondary School Cultural groups. Presently, he leads the youth Jing Ping Band and the Young Petite Soufriere Cultural Group.
The Edward Oliver Leblanc Trophy went to the Paix Bouche Drummers. Congratulations to all.
