Dominican student Nia Belle has made history by becoming the first international student to receive the prestigious Tiger Twelve Award at Louisiana State University.
The Tiger Twelve recognition honors 12 outstanding graduating seniors each year who have made significant contributions to campus life, leadership, academics, and community service. Established as part of LSU’s commitment to academic excellence and leadership, the award recognizes students who positively impact the university community and society.
This year’s recipients represented a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds from across Louisiana, the United States, and the Caribbean.
Reflecting on her journey, Nia Belle said the experience that best represented her contribution to LSU was serving as Assistant Director of International Student Affairs within LSU Student Government.
