Dominica has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to aviation security with the successful completion of the Screener Certification Training Programme, certifying 67 participants, including two from the Customs Division.
The training, hosted by the Dominica Air & Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) and facilitated by Royston Griffin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Aviation in St. Kitts & Nevis, ran from June 16 to 27, 2025, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium Conference Room.
Aviation screeners are a critical first line of defense against unlawful interference and acts of terrorism in civil aviation. This intensive training not only boosts national and regional security but also reinforces Dominica’s readiness to meet and maintain international aviation standards.
With stronger ports, better-prepared personnel, and a clear commitment to excellence, Dominica continues to prioritize the safety and security of its people and all who travel through its borders.
