The Dominica State College (DSC) is celebrating notable growth in enrolment across several academic programmes for the 2026 intake, with a number of programmes recording their largest cohorts to date and others returning after periods of inactivity.
Among the standout programmes are:
The College is also seeing strong numbers in its Associate Degree in Business Administration, which has attracted 102 students across all concentrations, including new and re-matriculating students. This represents an increase from 78 students last year.
Additional programmes are also showing renewed momentum. Physics is being offered for the first time since 2022, while Geography is running for the second consecutive year, reflecting continued interest in a broader range of academic offerings at DSC.
Growing Interest Among Returning Students
One of the most significant developments for the 2026 intake is the substantial increase in re-matriculation applications.
The College received 239 re-matriculation applications, of which 110 were accepted, compared with 167 applications and 51 accepted students last year.
This increase points to growing interest among adult learners who are returning to the College to complete programmes they previously started or to embark on a new area of study.
The College recognizes the importance of this trend and sees an opportunity to further expand avenues that support adult learners, particularly those seeking to enter or return to Associate Degree programmes.
The strong enrolment figures across these programmes demonstrate continued confidence in the Dominica State College as an institution providing accessible, relevant and quality tertiary education.
As the 2026/2027 academic year gets underway, the College looks forward to supporting this growing student population and building on the momentum across its academic programmes.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
