The members of the Dominica China Friendship Association, extend our congratulations to the Embassy and through the Embassy, to the People of the Peoples Republic of China on the occasion of the celebration of the Countries National Day, October 1, 2022.
The past eighteen years of diplomatic relations between the Commonwealth of Dominica and China is filled with events, agreements, projects, and exchanges, that demonstrated firsthand the genuine friendship shared by the Government and People of the PRC with Dominica, and the high-quality relations enjoyed by the peoples of our two countries.
Outside the relations and exchanges experienced at the level of Government, the People-to-People interchange has been outstanding. The direct contribution of technical support to Dominica’s agriculture and the contribution to heath including the medical supplies given during the COVID period, though negotiated by and through Government, are just a sample of benefit to the farmers and people of Dominica in general. The growth of Chinese businesses in Dominica and the comfort within which the Chinese nationals live and work, remains the best evidence of the full embrace of the People of Dominica with our Chinese counterparts. This in fact makes the PRC National Day an event now celebrated in Dominica.
These are the activities that the Dominica China Friendship Association now embrace, facilitate, and nurture as an integral part of our programming, as we remain committed to advancing even more profoundly, our People-to-People relations in all areas outside direct Government relations.
Our government has repeatedly reported, that on the international stage, China, with the second largest economy in the world, continues to support and present positions in support of developing countries and vulnerable States like Dominica in many international fora. Even these more indirect positions by China, converts to the benefit and security of the Dominican People.
These consistent actions have more than solidified Dominica China relations and qualify the profound friendship the exist between our two peoples.
Please convey our best wishes to the relevant Chinese agencies and authorities, including the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
We in the Dominica-China Friendship Association remain committed to advancing People to People relations between Dominica and China and whole heartedly extend best wishes on your Celebration of National Day and for the continued advancement of your People for the foreseeable future.
