“Enhancing the Role of MSMEs as Drivers of Sustainable Growth and Innovation”
Government of Dominica, through the Small Business Support Unit (SBSU), proudly joins the global community in celebrating International Micro, Small and
Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day 2025 under the theme: “MSMEs: Powering a Sustainable and Inclusive Recovery.”
This global observance, declared by the United Nations, recognizes the vital role that MSMEs play in advancing sustainable development, driving economic growth, and promoting innovation across all sectors. In Dominica, MSMEs form the backbone of our economy—creating jobs, fostering creativity, and contributing to the resilience of our communities.
In recognition of this day, Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour Public Service Reform, Social Partnership and Small Business Development, Honourable Daren Pinard reaffirmed the Unit’s unwavering commitment to the growth and development of local businesses:
“Today, we stand in proud recognition of our entrepreneurs—men and women who continue to push boundaries, adapt to challenges, and build from the ground up. The SBSU remains fully committed to providing targeted support through training, mentorship, grant financing, and access to markets. We recognize that investing in small businesses is investing in the future of Dominica.”
In recent years, the SBSU has intensified its efforts to strengthen the MSME ecosystem through strategic partnerships, digital transformation initiatives, and sector-specific support. As Dominica charts a path toward resilience and sustainable growth, small businesses remain at the center of that vision.
The Unit encourages all Dominicans to support local enterprises, celebrate their achievements, and champion the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to drive national progress.
For more information on our programs, or how to access support, contact the Small Business Support Unit at 266-3965 or visit the Ministry of Labour, Public Service Reform, Social
Partnership and Small Business Development.
Let us use MSME Day 2025 as a reminder that every small business has the potential to create lasting impact, transform lives, and contribute meaningfully to Dominica’s economic independence.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
