The Dominica Labour Party has officially launched its candidate for the Salybia Constituency amidst reports that the people still desire Parliamentary Representative Cassius Darroux.

Cozier Frederick is a former teacher and development officer. A community man who has defended indigenous rights, planned events and played music in various bands. Frederick plans to make the constituency an independent health district with its doctor, adequate staffing and equipment. He said that for too long the Kalinago people had to travel to Roseau to buy simple, over the counter medication that cost much less than the bus fare.

He thanked the prime minister and the permanent secretary for the housing efforts in the constituency but says that there is more to be done. Frederick has been endorsed by former Parliamentary Representative Kelly Graneau.
