Deniscia Laurent a contestant in the National queen pageant has been the first contestant to be sashed ahead of the pageant.

Ms. Laurent was sashed by J Astaphans Company Ltd. Laurent is an employee at Astaphans and expressed that J. Astaphans has continued to be a beacon of support for her on this incredible journey.

According to Laurent, the values of the company and what she represents is to promote excellence and a shared vision for the empowerment of women.

She emphasized on the motto of this company “right place right price” and also said that their sponsorship to her can be dubbed as “right place right queen”.

Representative of J Astaphans and events assistant Gracelyn said that the pageant is a celebration of talent, intellect and cultural heritage that enriches the nation.  She went on to say that Deniscia embodies qualities that J Astaphans holds, particularly resilience and support of women in Dominica.
