Death Announcement of 91 year old Rhoda Augustine better known as sister Rhoda, Da Rhoda of Portsmouth

We announce the death of MISS RHODA AUGUSTINE better known as SISTER RHODA, DA RHODA, SA RHODA, and NENNEN who was from Du Blanc and resided in Lagoon, Portsmouth. She died on June 30, 2020 at her residence.

SHE WAS MOTHER to Titus Francis, Mayor of Portsmouth, Gervais Francis in Antigua, Agatha, Eric and Alistair Francis, Javan and Shane Etienne, Gathlyn Martin-Grainger and Ede Roberts in the USA, Thaddeus Francis in Australia, and Julius Francis in Dominica .

SHE WAS GRANDMOTHER to Titus Francis Jr., Justin, and Kemba Francis; Shari, Chandra, Akela, and Odessa Etienne; Tithea Laurent, Ayana Francis-Emanuel, Moriah and Nathaniel Grainger and Issabella Mills and Lisette.

SHE WAS GREAT-GRANDMOTHER to Alex, Aulasia, Tia, Ayden, Shiloh, Zion, Gabriella, and Isaac Francis, Zaire, Zane and Zenmar Walters. Jamal Jemmot, Ercton Agoro and Emery Emanuel, Cameron, Sophia, Maddie and Jaden.

SHE WAS MOTHER-IN-LAW to Yvette, Agnes and Antoinette Francis, Sheryl Etienne and Mervin Grainger.

She will be dearly remembered by Family members, especially Sylvesia Savarin and family, Rudolph Blanchard, and Irene Hendreville and family; close neighbours namely the Alexis, Dupuis and Vidal families; and her caregivers Sylvia Douglas, Elizabeth St. John and Magdala Jean-Baptiste.

She will be remembered by many other relatives and friends including the Hon. Reginald Austrie, Clifford and Teddy Wallace Families, Neville Andrew, Theresa Joseph, Petra Baron, Nalda  Jubeneaut, Rosette Bertrand, Serge Savarin, Edith Joseph, Brenda Timothy in the U.S,Wehmoth Sacaboy Nicholas and Jean-Falaise Desir. Many God-children, friends and relatives both in Dominica and overseas, too numerous to mention.

The funeral service for the late RHODA AUGUSTINE, better known as SISTER RHODA, DA RHODA, SA RHODA, AND NENNEN will take place on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 3:00pm at the Roman Catholic Church in Portsmouth, followed by internment at the Roman Catholic cemetery.

Viewing will commence at 2:00pm.
