Death Announcement of Reuben Peter Severin of La Plaine

We announce the death of Peter Reuben Severin, better known as “Ben/Benno of La Plaine, Dominica. He died in New Jersey on Friday May 12, 2023.

He will be remembered by his

Five children: Lee, Rashad’ Reuben Jr., Lazarus, and Jayda.

Seven grand-children:  Elesia, Leah, Zavian, Khalil, Kaiden, Keyaan, and Keyon.

Nine sibblings:  Missie, Pierre, Princess, Russie, Maria, Ramona, Mary, Martha, and Jackie.

Nieces: Sheralyn, Jodie, Nyan (Ian), Shari (Bevin), Kharra, Tamika, Alisha, Paula, Irie, and Samara (Nicholson).

Nephews:  Sheldon, Tacuma (Kendal), Myron (Bridgitte, Alex, Donnie (Nia), Nigel, Leron, Kirwin (Tavia), Anson, Kurt (Marsha), Fabrice, Chris, Rev. Fr. Omar, Jimmy, Kamron, Joshua, Shakeel (Joanie), Tesean (Kayala), and JC., Frank (Muriel), Alvin, Kelvin, Joey (Ghiana), Vernon (Annette) and Jordan.

Brothers-in-Law: Earl, Jenner, Pastor Jim Athill, Ronald, and Joe.

Sisters-in-law:  Cheryl and Ruthie.

Daughters-in-law: Lanisha, Adrien, and Juanita.

Best friends: Patsy, Claudian & Myrtle, Chris Walter, John Bruney, and Marilyn.

Close friends: The Barrie family, Ann, Barbara, Catherine, Claris, Lylith, Gerard, Marsley, Albert Laudat, Charlenor, Kozy and many other friends in the LaRonde & LaPlaine communities, and relatives too numerous to mention.

Special thanks goes out to the LaPlaine Health Team, Dr. Fadoul, the staff of the Imary Ward of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, and other well wishers from the entire South Eastern District.

The funeral service of Peter Reuben Severin will take place in New Jersey on Friday, May 19, 2023. Viewing at 8:30-9:30 a.m followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m at St. Peter the Apostle Church in New Brunswick, followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, News Brunswick.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home in New Jersey.
