Death Announcement of Phillip McDougall, better known as “Caway,” of Church Lane, Goodwill

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Phillip McDougall, better known as “Caway,” of Church Lane, Goodwill. He died on January 4th.

Left to mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Carol McDougall; children, Ashma, Cheney, and Jahkim McDougall; grandchildren Jordan, Jervon and Talia residing in the US. His father, Samuel McDougall; siblings, Vera, Gregory, and Mervin McDougall, and Ericson Prevost. His nephew Shaquille Sealey, Dorian and niece Nicola Prevost. His sister-in law Sheryl in Saint Maarten, brothers-in-law Reynold, Chessy, Roll Out and Lucien in the UK.

Phil will also be remembered by his family friend Rolf from Denmark, his uncle Mighty DBS and Chris and Walton in the U.S and Antigua, his aunt, Daphne, in the United Kingdom; his cousins Vincia, Nimrod, Jennifer, Ellie, Ken, Charlton and family, Pachez; in Dominica and Listra, Michael, Eric, Peter, Beverly, Valerie, Serena, Jessica, Georgina, Randolph, and Cornelius all in the United Kingdom and other cousins too numerous to mention in Coulibistrie, United Kingdom, Antigua and United States. Cousins-in-law, Stane, Stanton, Shane & Shern Serapine. Lawrenson, Dora and Kitty Pierre.

He will fondly be remembered by his longtime friends Tony and the Destouche family, Karlene and the Richards family, Val Cuffy, Elizabeth Rodney, Marcelino, Bernard, Bio, Flakey, TMark, Beige, Chove, Repperz, Mickey Moreau, Canai and family, Ghaner, Annette, Alpha, Roslyn, Cone, Alisha, Al, Kenneth and the Church Lane boys, many others in the wider Church Lane, Steber Street and Pottersville communities, Bernadette Philbert and family, Kerwin, Charlie, Bert and Smokey residing in the U.S., Ike and Peter Dominique in the UK, staff of St. James Guesthouse, Alvin and staff at Courtesy Car Rental, Mr. & Mrs. Pemberton, Doris and family, the former staff of Vena’s Enterprises, the local basketball fraternity, doctor and nurses at the ICU and many other friends too numerous to mention.

His funeral mass will take place on Friday, January 30th, at the Roseau Cathedral, with viewing from 2:30 p.m., followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic cemetery.
