It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Nora Ivenia Abel Alexander, better known as Miss Ivenia or Mamie, of Marigot.
She passed away peacefully at The Holy Germantown Hospital in Maryland, USA, on February 25th, 2025, at the age of 97.
She was the wife of the late Edward Sonny Alexander.
She leaves to mourn: (7) SEVEN CHILDREN: Cynthia Robinson, Vanya Pollock (USA), Francis Alexander, Theresa St. Rose (BVI), Bridgette Ryan (Antigua), Jack Robinson and Claudia Fontaine (Dominica)
Sons in law: Stedman Ryan (Antigua), Phillip Fontaine (Dominica)
Daughter in law: Marvella Robinson (Dominica)
She is also survived by:
52 grandchildren
8 1 great-grandchildren
16 great-great-grandchildren
GRAND CHILDREN THAT SHE RAISED: Napha Alexander (St Thomas), Samuel and Jeff Robinson (USA) Andrea Joseph, Ben Springer and Saul Pollock (USA), Lavern Defoe (Canada), Joshua and Jamoll St Rose (BVI), Anderson Alexander (Dominica), Stclair Pelle (Antigua)
Special Friends: Lyn Gordon, Verniscia Bolland, Redeala Thomas, Ms. Sapharine .
Along with her extended family: The Abel, Abraham, Alexander Charles and James families, many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The Marigot and Grand Bay communities.
Her life touched many, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her
Her Celebration will be held at the Wesley Catholic Church on Saturday 22nd March 2025 at 9 :30 am
