It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Anna Celestine, aged 70, of Soufrière, Dominica. Anna passed away peacefully at her home in London, England, on 7th March 2026.
She is survived by her four daughters:
Debby Celestine-Charles
Sabina Etienne
Andrea Celestine
Dian Celestine
She also leaves to mourn her nine grandchildren, who were a great source of joy and pride in her life.
Anna is further survived by her brother, James Celestine, and sister-in-law, Cheryl Celestine, who both reside in the United Kingdom; her three nephews, one niece, and three grandnieces; as well as many relatives and friends in Dominica and the United Kingdom.
During her years living in Dominica, Anna dedicated herself to education. She taught at Saint Martin Catholic Secondary School and St Mary’s Academy, where she served as a teacher of English and IT/Computing, touching the lives of many students with her knowledge, commitment, and care.
Anna will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her contribution to education, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
