We announce the death of 89-year-old Bernard Bunty Shillingford, originally from Cork Street, who resided in Shawford. He died on Thursday May 26, 2022 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
He will be remembered by:
His wife; Joan Shillingford
8 Children: Edith in St. Martin, Herby, Jean, Nora, Paul, Sandra and Roseanne in England and Eustace in Canada:
5 step children: Ian, Susanne & Vanessa in Dominica, Kerry in Canada and Kimmy in the US:
Siblings: Medina, Clemina, Howard, Clifford, Donald, Connie, Sonia, Corrine and Elfa in the US; Francis and Theodora in St. Martin and Cecil, Denise, Sonny and Marie in Dominica;
Grandchildren: Levi, Paris, Kimberly, Donald, Michael, Victoria,Lorraine,Daryll, Anthony Sarah
Great grand children: Eranuska
Godson: Stellous
Numerous Nieces & Nephews including: Junior, Patricia, Paula, Hephilia, Karlene, Tony, Celina Burton Laronde, Trevor Burton and many other relatives of the Shillingford’s, Burton’s, Alleyne’s, Green’s, Trotter’s , and Winston families;
The community of Shawford Estate, and upper Cork Street.
The celebration of his life and burial will take place on Tuesday June 14th, 2022 with viewing from 2.30pm at the Roseau Cathedral Chapel. Interment following at the Roseau Catholic Ceremony.
