Death Announcement of 86 year old Joseph Lawrence better known as ‘Mr. Joe Joe or Puerto rico’ of Riviere Cyrique

The Lawrence family announces the passing of their patriarch Mr Joseph  Lawrence better known as “Mr Joe Joe or Puerto Rico” aged 86 of Riviere Cyrique.
He departed this life on January 25, 2021 at the Dominica – China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).

He is lovingly remembered by his:
Wife: of 57 years Agatha Lawrence

Children: Monica, Myrtle, Emelda and Jules

Grandchildren: Sandra, Wendy, Lawson, Shun, Aminah and Naphana

Great-grandchildren: Fantashia, D’shawn, Adaeze, Anais and Ainanji

Sisters: Attoinette and Edwardnise

Sisters in law: Roselyn, Ruthine, Iris and Mado

Brothers in law: Augustine, Masley, Mc’Neil and Pascal.

Son in law: Staphan

Granddaughter in law: Verrelyne

Godchildren: Avanelle, Virginia, Cornelius and Navney

29 Nieces and Nephews: Including Camillia, Xavier, John, Edward, Agnes, Marsha, Coraley, Kendrick, Catherine, Nancy, Altina and many grand nieces and nephews.

Numerous other relatives: Including the Lawrences of Riviere Cyrique and La Plaine, the Felix, Langford, and Cuffy families of Morne Jaune and Riviere Cyrique.

Close friends: Magdalene Cuffy and family, Phyllis Lawrence, Elizabeth Polydore, Seraphine Stephenson, Lynworth Cuffy and family, Eileen and Hayden Francis, Mavis Cuffy, Nathalie George and family, Henricks Jean, Ignatius Pascal, Hilary George and the entire community of Riviere Cyrique.

The Celebration of Life of the late Joseph  Lawrence will commence at 3:00pm on  Saturday, 6th February, 2021 at the Morne Jaune Catholic Chapel.

Viewing begins at 2:30pm.

Internment follows at the La Plaine Catholic Cemetery.

All Covid 19 safety protocols will be observed.

The family wishes to thank the Hon. Gretta Roberts, La Plaine Health Team, Staff  of Imray Ward of the DCFH, and all those who extended their sympathies and support during the illness and passing of their Beloved.
