Death Announcement of 83 year old Olivia Laville better known as Orvia of Lower Penville

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of  Olivia Laville, age 83, better known as Orvia of Lower Penville. She resided at Healing Hands and Assisted Living facility in Anse De Mai.  She died on the 12th of October at the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital. She lives to mourn:

  • Only son,John Royer, better known as Tutus, who resides in St. Thomas
  • Daughter-in-law, Tina Isidore Royer
  • Adopted daughters,Samanthia Bynoe and Jolina James
  • God-daughter, Ranilia 
  • Grandson, John Royer Jr.
  • Granddaughters, Michelle Magras and Victoria Oscar
  • Grandsons-in-law, St. Claire Magras and Gene Oscar 
  • Great-grandsons,Jeremiah Oscar, Jaden Oscar, St. Claire Magras Jr., and Mehki Magras
  • Great-granddaughters,Jasmine Oscar, and Monica Magras
  • Brothers, Rupert, Peter, and Augustine Ettienne
  • Sister, Joliette Romain
  • Brothers-in-law, Charlie and Lipson Laville
  • Sisters-in-law, Martina Carrette, Eutina Scotland, Odeal Leblanc, Andrea York, Kathrine Ettienne, and Nora Laville

She also leaves to mourn nurses Justina Ferrol, Valerie Paul, Rose Leblanc, and all other nurses and members of staff of the Healing Hands and Assisted Living Facility. The doctors and nurses of the Glover Ward of the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital. The nurses of the community of Penville, including Nurse Helen Gilbert, Shervel Seaman, and Public Health Aid Alphonsia Robert. Pre-assisted living care takers include Monica Robert and Vania Leblanc. She leaves to mourn the entire communities of Penville, Vielle Case, Thibaud, and Anse De Mai, as well as other relatives and friends, too numerous to mention. 

The funeral of Olivia Laville will take place on Friday, 14th November 2025, at the Vielle Case Roman Catholic Church. Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m., and the funeral service starts at 2:00 p.m. Interment at the Vielle Case Catholic Cemetery. 

The following drivers will be available for transportation to the funeral:
