It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of: Hugh Joseph Oscar
Age: 82 originally from Giraudel and Newtown who resided at Canefield.
He died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 5, 2025
He leaves to mourn:
Wife: Sylvia Oscar
Son: Jason Oscar
Daughters: Dawn and Betty Oscar.
Sisters: Joan Oscar, Andrina Williams, Shirley Oscar, Bernice Burton, Isaline Titre and Camelia Cornelius.
Brothers: Eddie and Foley Oscar.
Grandchildren, Dre, Omari, Jahdi, and Jahniq Oscar and Zuri Charles.
Stepchildren: Desiré, Cyril and Cecil Alexander.
Daughter-in Law: Veronica Oscar
Sisters-in-law: Catherine Ettienne, Catherina Jean, Olive George, Elizabeth Williams, Margaret Thomas and Elizabeth Oscar.
Brothers-in-law: Jones Thomas, Art Williams and James Cornelius.

The body of the late Hugh Joseph Oscar will be transported from Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 2:30 p.m. at the Our Lady of Fair Haven Cathedral, Roseau on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Funeral Service begins at 3:00 p.m. followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic Cemetery.
