Death announcement of 81 year old Asquith Babylas Archibald better known as”Archie” aged 81 of Morne Jaune, who was born in Guadeloupe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Asquith Babylas Archibald better known as”Archie” aged 81 of Morne Jaune, who was born in Guadeloupe. He peacefully left this world on February 6, 2025 at the Princess Margaret Hospital. 

He will be deeply mourned by his children: Eustace Archibald and Hermina Augustine in Dominica; Annie Gould, Nurse Hildreth Eloi, Avonelle Laudat, Juliette, Curtley, Nigel and Allura Archibald all in the USA.

His brother Michael Archibald, Sisters – Ruth Fivash and Josette Matthew. 

Brother in Law – Angelo Matthew

Former wife – Georgine Archibald

Grandchildren: Earl, Cassie, Maron, Ryan, Leah, Derrel, Abisha, Aylani, Alizah, Andhil, Uzziel, Gershon, Andrew, Nishan, Djimon, Savion, Harmony, Xzhavier, Sefehra, Courtney, Camren, Kenrick, Aaron, Malik 

Nieces and Nephews: Earlson, Karen, Mahla, Marlon, Bianca, Sean, Linda, Muriel, Helena, Laurent

Children in law: Michael Augustine, Dane Gould, Andrew Eloi, Cliff Laudat, Beryl Archibald

Numerous Cousins including: Beatrice, Beverly, Chrissie, Ruth, Athenia, June, Julie-Ann, Bessie, the Wallace family of Wesley, the Lesley family and many others.

He will also be remembered by the La Plaine Health Team, Staff of the Riviere Cyrique Health Center, Fr Frantzo Simbert, children of the late Edwina Hypolite, former employees of DBMC, the entire communities of Morne Jaune, Riviere Cyrique, La Plaine and Grand Fond, various doctors and nurses who cared for him over the years. 

The funeral mass of the late Asquith Babylas Archibald will be held on Friday March 14, 2025 at 2.00pm at the Morne Jaune Chapel. Viewing from 1.30pm.  Interment will be at the La Plaine Catholic Cemetery.
